Nuclear Israel

Nuclear North Korea, nuclear Iraq, nuclear Iran - of these our media has been
full for the last year or more, though they either don't exist or hardly yet
exist. North Korea now probably has a couple of crude nuclear weapons, which
it may still be incapable of delivering. But nuclear Israel, little
endangered Israel? It's hard even to get your head around the concept, though
that country has either the fifth or sixth largest nuclear arsenal in the
world.

Nuclear Israel is certainly not a concept you're likely to run across in the
American press very often, which is why a major Sunday news story in the Los
