Wysłałem poniższe do osób odpowiadających za organizację Expo w Tangerze i
Josu (wcześniej podobny list wysłałem do Biura Wystaw Światowych).
Skopiowałem też na kilka list dyskusyjnych. Proszę o poparcie. Trzeba bronić
się przed wariactwami Dutkiewicza i jego kamaryli.
Dear Sirs,
My name is Pawel Z. and I am a citizen of Wroclaw, Poland's
fourh largest city. My mother city's authorities pretend that they
represent the interest of the local community. It is not true.
Their whole activity aims to the relaxing travelling to diffrent
places on the Earth. Their main goal is not to fulfill the needs of
ordinary citizens of Wroclaw.
The results of their activities may be easily seen at the Wroclaw
airport and the bus terminal: the queues of young people who want
to go to Great Britain and Ireland for years and sometimes for ever
are very long. The returning planes and buses are rather emty apart
from the holiday periods when young Poles get back to Poland for a
short visit, to meet their families. When their parents die and
their own families have houses and flats in London or Dublin, they
will have no reason to visit their homeland, the land of peaople
with no hope.
Our mayor, Rafal Dutkiewicz, is certainly ambitious but it seems
that his main idea is to promote himself and to make an explanation
for some tourist visits to different cities of the world for him
and some of his friends.
Our mayor and his friends from the city government like to travel
all over the world. They have to promote Wroclaw in Malaysia, Korea
and China. Ironically, we, citizens of Wroclaw, should be very glad
that there are no human cities on Mars. If there were any, our
mayor would have to promote Wroclaw on Mars!
The newly constructed factory of LG, the huge Korean corporation,
needs workers very urgently. But they want to pay not more 130 GBP
per month. At present not many Poles want to work for such a little
salary. In Wroclaw the prices of flats are almost like in the
Western Europe. The prices of food and other FMCG are comparable to
the Western Europe.
You think that the factory's management thinks about rises? No way!
The management asked the Polish authorities to let to bring some
Chinese teens to the factory campus. They would work for salaries
that for Poles are not acceptable. They would live in barracs and
get food from the factory.
The first answer of authorites was negative. But it was just a
beginning. Maybe Chinese teens living in barracs will replace the
millions of people who decided to leave their country?
The city is more and more a place for nobody. The city
kindergartens which were built by communists have been closed.
Thera are only a few ones that still exist but Rafal Dutkiewicz's
government closes one after one. Hundreds of young Polish women who
want to have a baby must stay in home. The city does not give them
any help. The women have no money to employ the nanny.
The same is the case of primary schools. At present, still the
education in the primary school is mandatory. But the Polish
constitution does not state anything about the maximum number of
pupils in the class. 50 pupils in one class? No problem! Why not
one hundred?
We have the most expensive public transport in Poland. It is also
the most ineffective. The old rusted trams can easily become a
grave for many citizens. The status of roads is terrifying.
Please, take into account all these facts. I really think that
there are some richer cities that can host easily the world
exhibitions. If Wroclaw is chosen, our authorities will be "forced"
to close more kindergartens and schools!
Therefore, we beg you - organize the Expo exhibition and save our
poor city.
Best regards,
Pawel Z.
