deviation request - An advance request for the acceptance of a deficiency in
Contractor supplies to be delivered, whereby the resulting supplies will not
be in compliance with the technical requirements and/or other baseline
configuration documentation. The deviation request is submitted prior to
manufacturing and is applicable only to a limited production quantity
