Dear friends,
With great pleasure we announce the seventh season of Dança Brasil. This year
the festival is going to take place from April 3rd till 27th in the Centro
Cultural Banco do Brasil, in Rio de Janeiro and Brasília.
The focus of Dança Brasil 2003 is based on the possible interactions between
dance and music. Running concurrently will be debates and a video series on
this subject, further enriching the discussion elicited by the performances.
Dança Brasil is dedicated to contemporary dance and is presented annually at
the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, in Rio de Janeiro. Since last year the
program has also been produced in Brasília. This festival has made an effort
to serve as a showcase for the most active and interesting companies in our
contemporary dance scene.
We warmly welcome those of you willing to come to our festival. Local
transportation and tickets to our program can be provided. Assistance is
available for finding suitable hotel reservations and providing any piece of
information about the festival and Brazil.
