Do ya do ya do ya do ya wanna dance?

My name is Rebecca Pappas and I am looking for artistic, adventurous people
to participate in a site-specific piece I am choreographing for the Yerba
Buena Gardens Festival in San Francisco. At noon on Wendesday, August 20th,
250 community members will converge on the balcony of the Metreon to
participate in the largest public art event of the summer. Participants will
take part in what is essentially a glorified "wave." Led by a cast of
professional dancers, you just have to follow the person next to you through
a series of gestures including waving, wiggling, and other simple activities.
If you want to participate, all you have to do is show up on the top floor
balcony of the Metreon at noon on Wednesday, August 20th wearing various
shades of black, white, or grey. Don't forget, no movement experience is
necessary, and anyone can come! I am also looking for professio! nal dancers
to participate at one rehearsal and on the day of the event.
