Poniżej wklejam wywiad z dziewczynami. Niedawno natknąłem się na fotkę, na
której jedna z dziewczyn pozuje z Neilem Tennantem i Wolfgangiem Flurem z
Kraftwerka

Ciekawe co to za impreza była.
Wywiad po angielsku:
Pet Shop Boys never thought who would succeed them in their musical career if
one day they stopped doing music, but in Sweden a fan and producer thought
that his daughter and her friend could be theirs.
West End Girls is the name that this couple of seventeen year old girls chose.
Rosanna on keyboards, similar to Chris Lowe's behaviour, and Isabelle doing
Neil Tennant's mannerisms and trying to imitate his voice.
A fresh sound with similarities to Britney Spears music but with the
sensuality, Pet Shop Boys electronic music has served to convince themselves
and release their first album 'Goes Petshopping' that has obtained very good
reviews.
Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are pleased with the girls' album and as it is
full of PSB covers, Neil and Chris receiving the royalties.
» Where did you first meet?
We met each other when we where around 7-8 years, in a suburb to Stockholm
called Årsta havsbad. We found out that we were listning to the same kind of
music, synth-pop like Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk and Pet Shop Boys. From that
they we have always been together.
» Who had the idea of making Pet Shop Boys album covers?
We both had that idea, it was something that just grew when we started to talk
about it a couple of years ago. We started to sing and play and mime to their
songs when we were around ten years old. We were just acting like them and we
called ourselves "west end girls". Isabelle was Neil Tennant in the front
singing and Rosanna was Chris Lowe behind the keyboards.
» Would your next album have your own songs?
Yes, we think so, you can't develop without your own music. But we also think
that we are going to have some more PSB songs too, because there is so many
good ones left.
» Isabelle you already had experience singing in another music group, has this
helped you to face this new project?
Yes it has helped a lot, Iv'e been touring since I was eleven, so I know what
to do, and not to do

But this is another thing, it's much bigger.
» What do Neil and Chris think about your album?
We met them when they played in Stockholm, they invited us after the concert,
and they told us that they really love our album, and that it's fantastic. It
feels really good to hear it from them personally, because that shows that we
have done something successful.
» You will soon perform the next, have you been to Spain before?
Yes, on both holiday and concert and it's a really beautiful country. We
played in Barcelona and that was really amazing because it was our first
performance outside Scandinavia.
» Your image is very original, who designs your clothes?
West End Girls of course, we decide what we shall play and wear. We really
want to look and act like Pet Shop Boys and we think we know the Pet Shop Boys
stuff best.
» How long would you like to be in music business?
As long as it is fun! We hope it's gonna be a long long time. Music is the
best thing in the world. But we are just 16 and 17, and we maybe want to do
something else in the future, when we're tired of the music business.
» Who is your current music producer?
We work together with Johan Fjellström in the studio, he is the master
producer, and helps us very much. We also got help from Sami Sirviö (from a
really famous group in Sweden called Kent) and Joakim Udd. Thank you guys.
» Are you getting ready for the new album?
Yes we are searching for new songs, but we haven't start to record yet. Now we
are touring around Europe, and after the summer we are going in to the studio
again. It's gonna be real interesting to start with the new album.
» Who would you like to compose for you?
Oh...Neil & Chris of course, that would be real cool. But also Wolfgang Flur,
Karl Bartos or Alan Wilder for example. We think that they should do it really
good, they know what we want to sound like.
» Is it difficult to lead work and school?
No, not so far at least. We are doing most of the "WEG" stuff (concerts or
studio stuff) at the evenings or holidays, so it's no problem. We can separate
the school and the music without problem.
» Who designs the covers of your albums?
It's we together with Martin Botvidsson, he is a fantastic photographer. We
are taking the photos and then we are sitting together with him in his studio
and work with the pictures until the cover of the single/album is finished.
» Do you think with the years you will pose with less clothes?
No! We don't think so. That's not our thing, We want our clothes on.
» When you were a child what job did you wants when you grow up?
A pop star, always a pop star. All of our friends wanted to be veterinary or
something, but we never thought in that way, we were into the music and wanted
to be pop stars.
» Where else would you like to live?
We like Sweden, even if it's cold in the winter. We may have to move to
London, we really like London, it's a cool atmosphere there.
» How does it feel performing in front of Neil Tennant?
It was very very cool! But a bit strange, it's not normal to have your
greatest idol in front of you when you are performing.
» Were you given any advice by Pet Shop Boys when you first met?
No advice at all, just good words, that they love the album, and that they
play 'Shopping' because of our version of it, and that's cooooool.
