Jak juz wczesniej pisalismy, 2008 bedzie bardzo zajetym rokiem dla
marki Comme des Garcons- marka przedstawi wlasne kompozycje 888 i
Series: Energy, a takze stworzy perfumy dla innych projektantow- S.
Jonesa, marki Undercover, D. Guiness itd.

Na poczatek jednak perfumiarz z CdG stworzyl zapach Scent One:
Hinoki dla magazynu Monocle (niezalezna publikacja o biznesie, stylu
zycia, kulturze itd.).
Cedrowo-drzewna kompozycja inspirowana japonskimi lazniami i lasami
Skandynawii bedzie dostepna online, a takze w butikach CdG.

Hmmm, czy to CdG "firmuje" ten zapach, czy tylko nos, ktory robi perfumy takze
dla innych przeciez marek.

W kazdym razie hinoki brzmi jak Zagorsk w mniej kazidlanym wydaniu. Jesli sie
nie myle, to w skladzie Zagorsk tez jest hinoki (to chyba japonska nazwa gatunki
sosny, ktorej drewna uzywa sie do budowania saun i wanny).

Skoro Hinoki ma byc dostepny w "selected CdG stores", to mam
nadzieje, ze wyrazili zgode na uzywanie ich marki do promocji :-).
Znajac zycie, pewnie pojawi sie w Dover Street Market niedlugo.

"Scent One: Hinoki opens with notes of cypress, terebenthine and
camphor, resting on a heart of cedar, thyme, pine and georgywood,
and drying down to base notes of incense, tree moss and vetiver.

“The inspiration for this fragrance comes from a perfectly still,
slightly chilly spring morning spent soaking in a tub at the
Tawaraya in Kyoto ,” said Monocle’s founder and editor, Tyler
Brulé. “It puts together our memory of the mosses and trees outdoors
and sharp notes of the boxy, hinoki tub.”

The packaging also refers to the tub. The front of the rectangular
glass bottle is printed with a black circle in which the name of the
fragrance and the Monocle logo runs up the centre in white. The
crisp, black linear carton is said to convey sophistication through
the use of the magazine’s font.

Carrying a price tag of £55/€80, the edt is available online at
Monocle’s website (www.monocle.com/shop) and will go into selected
Comme des Garçons stores next week as well as independent lifestyle
stores such as Dover Street Market in London and Colette in Paris .

This is the first of a number of collaborations Comme des Garçons
has planned. A fragrance for celebrity milliner Stephen Jones is
pencilled in for June and further outings are planned for UK stylist
and muse Daphne Guinness and Japanese designer Jun Takahashi"
