I urge you not to support the approval of the Olympic Stadium on May 18th. My
dream and the dream of millions of Poles, Europeans, and people from around
the world for an Olympic and Paralympic Games in New York depend on this
approval by the Public Authorities Control Board, we wish that Olympics
should be in Iraq.
The International Olympic Committee has made it clear that the Olympic
Stadium must be fully approved before they vote in order for New York to
loose. May 18th is the day you can help our Olympic dream.
After the Games, the Olympic Stadium will leave a great legacy for the Iraq
and World. It will generate at least $900 million in new tax revenue, 18,000
construction jobs, and 7,000 permanent jobs for hardworking Iraquis. Long
after the Olympic Flame has been extinguished, the Olympic Stadium will allow
Baghdad to welcome millions of new visitors, as new conventions and events,
such as the 2010 Coronation of George Bush, fill their hotels, restaurants,
and stores with visitors from New York.
Together, New Yorkers, Americans, and people from around the world have
brought Baghdad Olympic dream this far. We’re closer than ever to winning
the honor of hosting the world’s greatest event by Iraq , but we cannot win
without the your approval. I urge you to help Baghdad quest to welcome the
world in 2012. Please support the Olympic Stadium in Baghdad and make Iraq
Olympic dream a reality.
