Question:- What makes you get out of bed on a cold nigth at 2 o'clock in the
morning, while waiting for you is a warm bed and the fifth Chuck Palahnuik
novel you've read this last month laying on a soft adoring pillow?
Answer:- The Blueskins!!

Yeah I read the NME too with all their hype and 'panic we have a sales slump
we NEED a new catagory, we need a band to change your life' They've gone for
Franz Ferdinand and rightly so, they are fresh and vibrant, maybe a midnight
getting out of band to stand wiwth headphones on in front of your stereo
dancing about, but in my opinion, not a 2 o'clock one )
I came across them just this afternoon on mtv2, they gave a bad 'geek'
interview and I had low hopes, but then they played a live song and I swear I
felt Elvis turn in his grave as he could shake his hips to rock n roll
again ) I checked out their debut single (still 2 tracks from it I still
have to get my ears on), and their new unreleased yet single, plus their Peel
session. OH GLORY! A highly anticipated album for me it has become, perhaps
along with Colour Of Fire and The Evernauts it is for me of the rushed
urgency that I should clasp it in my hands.
Please take the time if you can to find them, own them, love and cherish them
as I am doing riht now ))

'User Friendly' is a funny song, first song of the day. Would it kick me out
of bed at 2 am? Not quite so sure. I am gonna try and find more songs, as it
is cool noisy listening, which is just what I like. That name though... it is
going to scare off hundreds of people

I gave them a better listen to these last few days, and they are so much fun,
honestly. The vocals sound a bit like Supergrass, or was it the guitars, i
don't know now... Sometimes it's funky, sometimes it's noisy, just energetic.
Not a band that will change my life, but might make its moments bit more
pleasant
