I saw darkstar when they supported Mansun and what a great support act, they
opened the set with this and was an amazing sound, his voice pierced the wall
of sound, the singer/guitarist now rather amusingly plays as session guitarist
for the Pet Shop Boys! as did Johnny Marr, guess they needed that extra quality
to try fill his shoes. And Johnny produced this Marion track, from an album
which I don't think got released as the singer had huge drug problems and
couldn't fulfil promotional duties on it sad

the Shack song is from an album
about life on and after heavy drug use, just listening to how Mick Head's voice
changed between this album and their last one Zilch is quite saddening.
Flowered Up, hell they were a drug, the London Roses/Mondays they were hyped to
be, co wrote by Joe Strummer, they were all about the E-Culture of the UK in
the early 90's, they had their own Bez called Barry Moonflower I think, had
this huge fake flower thing round his neck and huge pupils in his eyes!!! they
made a short film about a weekend getting wasted on drugs and going clubbing
called Weekender, it paved the way for Trainspotting and Human Traffic to get
made smile

Echobelly were Elastica's main competition for a female fronted indie
band, but Sonia wasn't dating a Damon figure smile

Stephen Street, the good old
Smiths producer was behind this song and it rocks!!! smile

That song i was recommended by a friend some time ago but was never able to
