"Italian designer fragrance brand Cerruti (Coty) will introduce a
men’s fragrance dubbed L’Essence de Cerruti—the brand’s first
fragrance under artistic director Jean-Paul Knott. Inspired by
Knott’s ready-to-wear collections, the fragrance is said to evoke “a
wind-blown white cotton shirt” and “cashmere sweater worn close to
the skin,” and features a leather musk accord. A spokesperson for
Coty tells CosmeticNews the new fragrance is positioned to modernize
the brand and caters to a more sophisticated, classic taste than
Cerruti’s previous fragrance, 1881 Black.

The juice is packaged in a square, heavy glass bottle designed by
Knott together with Jérôme Dumas. The advertising campaign was shot
by photographer Lachlan Bailey. The L’Essence de Cerruti range
comprises an EdP which retails at €48 for 50ml and €65 for 100ml, an
aftershave lotion at €41 (100ml), a shower gel at €22 (200ml) and a
deodorant stick priced at €22 (75ml). The line will launch in
Cerruti authorized perfumeries in France and Germany in March,
followed by the Middle East in May."
