Moze
to byc np.

sukcesami zagranicznymi, i z autorytetem. Tylko Gmoch tak naprawdę odpowiada

He don't care about his coaching job with Japan anymore. He already said he was
leaving after the world cup to find a Europe job. He's just doing what any
coach would do when they are allowed to comment on poor officiating. If this
was the NBA, NFL, MLB, he would have been fined.

Irate fans call JFA office demanding Zico be fired
                Thursday, June 15, 2006 at 05:00 EDT

TOKYO — The Japan Football Association said Wednesday that it had received many
phone calls since Japan's 3-1 loss to Australia on Monday, mostly protesing at
Zico's strategy or his lack of it, according to the Japanese media.

"Come home without playing any further," "Fire the coach," some of the callers
said, the Sankei Sports daily reported.

Zico, who has been involved in Japanese soccer for 15 years, first as a player,
has said he will step down after the World Cup anyway, hoping to coach a club
in Europe. Japan's national side was the first team he served as head coach.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, many media commentators criticized Zico's substition
tactics, in contrast to Australia coach Guus Hiddink's effective use of players
with late substitutes Tim Cahill and John Aloisi striking all the goals.

After replacing an injured defender, Zico substituted striker Atsushi
Yanagisawa with former Feyenoord midfielder Shinji Ono late in the second half
to boost Japan's attacking midfield. But it only confused the Japanese
                formation.

psychology is at least half the game. Team Japan was so suprised/shocked at the
first game outcome - and are feeling so much pressure from the press/fans right
now ... and have a somewhat poisoned relationship with Zico at the moment ...
that it will be a miracle if they win their next match. Just too many
                psychological strikes against them presently.

And then, of course, their is the question of their stamina!

They beat them selves. Falling down in front of the goal, Passing to nobody but
open field, tit for tatting amongst their selves. If they would have played
half as hard as they did in the friendly with Germany they could have one.

As stated above the media milking the population and no matter the out come it
would boil down to finger pointing. Samurai Blue my ass when they fall on their
swords for such a piss poor performance then maybe we will have some samurai
                spirit.

We all saw them get big headed with the Malta friendly do they blame that on
Zico to. I think he was being fair to the fans and players with his line up
against AU. It might not have been Ideal but I also dont think he thought it
was too. Im sure there were other hands involved.

I wonder how many people called and complained about the shody showing at the

everybody. As well as the medle count before the games.

Some people seem to assume that it's because he's a foreigner the criticism is
so strong. Although I have long criticised Zico on these boards and reckon it
was a mistake to employ him in the first place, it is pointless to sack him now.

I am not sure what tactical masterstroke he could have realistically come up
with given his bench, and for much of the Australia game, Japan was pretty
lucky to hold a lead. I think Japan's players should also share plenty of the
blame for that - they simply folded
