About: IFG is a tool to generate iptables rules. This program can work with the INPUT and OUTPUT chains of the filter table. It can create rules for diferents protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP), IP addresses, and ports. You can choose different interfaces (lo, eth0, ppp0), choose the state of a connection, and LOG all the rules. It also has an option to save all the rules that you made into a file. The program was written in GTK+ 2, and the interface was made with glade-2. Changes: It is now possible to save the rules in a file. The capacity to produce rules was augmented. The library code is portable (to Linux, Unix, Windows, embedded systems, etc.) and modular; most of the extensions can be compiled out. Libxml implements a number of existing standards related to markup languages, including the XML standard, Namespaces in XML, XML Base, RFC 2396, XPath, XPointer, HTML4, XInclude, SGML Catalogs, and XML Catalogs. In most cases, libxml tries to implement the specifications in a relatively strict way. To some extent, it provides support for the following specifications, but doesn't claim to implement them: DOM, FTP client, HTTP client, SAX, and DocBook SGML. Support for W3C XML Schemas is in progress. Changes: Release 2.4.29 broke the Python bindings. 2.4.30 fixes them and the API XML description.
