W gronie marlexowym wpadliśmy na pomysł, żeby napisać do europejskiej federacji taki list "ostatniej szansy". Byłaby to prośba o niekaranie zawodników w sporze zarządów PZC i ECF. Bo na głupocie naszych działaczy to my, zawodnicy, najbardziej ucierpimy oraz oczywiście poziom całego polskiego curlingu z racji na niezdobywanie nowych doświadczeń i umiejętności na arenie międzynarodowej. Zgodnie z duchem curlingu ów list (podpisany przez wszystkich uczestników) chcemy wysłać PRZED finałami Mistrzostw Polski. Zdajemy sobie sprawę z tego, jak niewielka jest szansa, że coś wskóramy, ale może akurat... Nawet jeśli się nie uda, to przynajmniej wyślemy informację, że polski curling chce zmian i odcina się od niekompetencji obecnego zarządu PZC.

Dear President, Cieszyn, 15.10.2010

the polish curling society is shocked by actions taken by the Polish Curling Association (also PCA) towards the European Curling Federation. No official statement has been given yet but, from what we – polish curlers – know, the PCA has been suspended as an ECF member and will not participate in the European Curling Championships 2010, in Switzerland.

As a young sport in Poland, curling is growing dynamically. Each year there are more and more people willing to begin their journey with this magnificent, Olympic sport. Still, there are not much curlers in our country. The main cause (besides no curling rink) is the absence in media.

How is this connected with banning PCA from the ECC?
1. Polish curlers will not have an opportunity to qualify to the group A which would affect enormously the development of this sport in Poland.
2. The international result will not be publicized because there will be none.
3. The information that Poland will not be represented by any team in the European Curling Championships would diminish the popularity of curling in Poland.

It is obvious, that those three main factors would tremendously affect the popularity of curling in Poland. Not only will the dynamic growth be not sustained, but it could even lead to the fall of curling in Poland.

For years now the polish curling society has been fighting with the Polish Curling Association. We have been struggling to finally organize a legal election and dismiss the current board of directors of the PCA. The polish curling society wants to change matters in polish curling to prevent such things like the litigation between the PCA and ECF from happening and to ensure a sustained growth of curling in Poland.

The statement above implicates, that we – polish curlers – do not identify ourselves with the Polish Curling Association and oppose the proceedings taken by it.

This suspension would be a punishment for all the people playing curling in Poland. And, as we all know, the president of PCA, Marek Jóźwik, did not play a single end in his life. This means, that it will not affect him or his subordinates. It would only hit us, polish curlers – many decent men and women who know that the most important thing is the spirit of curling and who have spent a lot of time, money and passion to train this beautiful sport. We are afraid that another lost year could be just too much…

Please, do not ban the polish national team from the European Curling Championships 2010.

W razie zastrzeżeń, proszę pisać, do piątku jest czas na ewentualną zmianę treści listu.

Jakkolwiek popieram inicjatywę, na moje niewprawne oko znalazłem w nim parę błędów:

Drugie zdanie sugeruje, że to PZC (PCA) nie weźmie udziału w ME.
W kolejnym akapicie powinno być: there are not MANY curlers.

Kilka sformułowań wydaje mi się brzmieć mało po angielsku - najlepiej dajcie to jakiemuś angliście do przeczytania i ewentualnego poprawienia.
