    SOCCER: Zurawski saga nears completion

Maciej Zurawski's protracted transfer to Celtic appears to at last be drawing to a conclusion after the Pole flew into Glasgow today.

It has been reported that Maciej ‘Magic' Zurawski will today complete his
£2m move from Wisla Krakow to Celtic. It has also been reported that
Craig Bellamy will today sign for Blackburn Rovers. If the latter is true, Keep
The Faith will have more comment later today.

Hoopiness! Magic is a Bhoy (though we'll all be absolutely sure when he's
signed the contract, been photographed in the Hoops and faxed us all a copy of
        his contract)!

After a protracted, at times frustrating (for us) and often irritating (for
Maciej Zurawski) transfer saga, which has taken more twists and turns than
George Bush trying to avoid Plod when on his bike (the US President is vying
with Jose-Karl Pierre-Fanfan for the title of Fanny Of The Day), the Magic
mystery is seemingly about to come to an end.

On Monday, Peter Lawwell returned empty-handed from Poland after a three-hour
meeting of “hard business negotiations” with Wisla Krakow officials. It had
been assumed that Celtic's Executive Director had journeyed to Poland to
        finalise the transfer.

However, the deal to bring the prolific Polish striker to Celtic had seemingly
stalled after a regime change at the Polish club and after Wisla Krakow's new
incumbents had, reportedly, changed the financial goalposts. Agreement could
not be reached much to Timdom's frustration and anxiety.

Consequently, Zurawski expressed his ‘irritation' about the delay, though
Poland's premier striker also re-emphasised his determination to be a Celt.
Meanwhile, Turkish club Besiktas and Serie A club Fiorentina were lurking with
        intent.

Now, however, Celtic appear to have secured the services of Maciej ‘Magic'
Zurawski, who will hopefully become Gordon Strachan's third signing of the
summer after Mo Camara and Jeremie Aliadiere.

        ...

Ciekawe ile proponuja tym razem. Bo ze Zuraw w Glasgow to jeszcze nic nie
        znaczy.

No i poszedł. Z tego co wypisują na celtyckich forumnach to będą go tam witać
jak jakiegoś zbawce. Czerwony dywan i orkiestra dęta co najmniej. W sumie to
