UEFA: TV replay condemns Kielbowicz
Sunday, 18 May 2003
Legia Warszawa left-winger Tomasz Kielbowicz has been suspended for two
matches after a foul against Wisla Plock unnoticed by the referee.
Kielbowicz, 27, scored the only goal of last weekend's league match with
Wisla Plock. However, later replays on television showed an incident where
Kielbowicz aimed a kick at Plock's prostrate Nigerian midfield player
Emmanuel Ekwueme.
A team-mate of Kielbowicz at 2000 championship-winning KP Polonia Warszawa,
Ekwueme said: "I am shocked. He did it intentionally, but I do not know the
reason. I am sorry to say this, but I lost a friend."
