ISRAELI ELECTION UPDATE

While PM Sharon and FM Netanyahu are busy fighting over the Likud leadership,
Amram Mitznah, Labor's ultra-left-wing leader is consolidating his position
in Labor and plotting out his strategy in the upcoming election campaign.
Mitznah pledged that within one-year he will build a wall of seperation
between the major Israeli cities and the main "Palestinian" population
centers. In this way, he will avoid the negative downside impact that Arab
attacks during election season often has on Labor's popularity. Rather than
to be on the defensive every time a bomb goes off, Mitznah will attack Likud
and Sharon for dragging their feet on the construction of a wall that most
Israelis mistakenly believe would make it harder for terrorists to pass over
the Green Line.

If Bibi's multi-million dollar internal primary campaign succeeds and he
should defeat Sharon, he might not have the easy time political pundits are
suggesting he would have in defeating Mitznah. Sharon would have a far easier
time defeating Mitznah. In the meantime, polls show Sharon and Netanyahu neck
and neck.

In spite of the fact that Mitznah's views stand further left than Meretz on
most issues, Mitznah is viewed a s a non-corrupt military man. He has kept it
no secret that he plans to dismantle "settlements" and expel their Jewish
residents if he should get elected.

In the meantime Herut leader MK Michael Kleiner has succeeded in rocking the
political boat once again when he announced that he would place Jonathan
Pollard and Baruch Marzel on his list to Knesset.

Saudis blame ‘Zionist lobby´ Charges that a Saudi diplomat´s wife gave money
to the Sept. 11 terrorists are part of a Zionist conspiracy, according to a

angrily to the charges on Monday. "The latest campaign by the Zionist lobby
in America will fail and will not affect the kingdom or its stances and will
not affect the strength of ties with the United States," an editorial in the
daily al-Watan said. In its editorial, the daily al-Riyadh said "American

possible U.S. war against Iraq.

1- CAVING IN TO ARAB TERROR?

Hamas: Terror is working Palestinian suicide bombings are effective,
despite Israeli claims that Israel will never bow to terror, a top Hamas
official said. Speaking after Thursdays deadly bombing aboard a Jerusalem
bus, Abdel Aziz Rantissi said such attacks are what prompted the newly
elected leader of Israels Labor Party, Amram Mitzna, to declare this week
that he would uproot Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip immediately
upon taking office.

Voice of Judea Commentary:

The Hamas is correct when they say that their barbaric terrorism weakens
certain Jews and causes them to capitulate. Indeed, Mitznah is a fine
example of a foolish Jewish leader who believes he can appease Arabs by
caving in and surrendering G-d given Jewish land. The Hamas will continue
to attack Israel just as the Hizbullah now attacks Israel and Jews
throughout the world, after Israel's retreat from Lebanon.

Fortunately for the nation of Israel neither the Hamas nor Mitznah will
decide the ultimate fate of Israel. Rantissi and Mitznah can babble all
day long. The loyal Jews who have faith and who cling to the land without
compromise will determine the fate of the Jewish state.

2- JEW HATER WELCOME AT HARVARD

Harvard reinvites controversial poet Harvard Universitys English
Department reinvited a controversial Irish poet who once said West Bank
settlers should be "shot dead." One week after his appearance was canceled
because of his anti-Israeli comments, members of the department met for
two hours Wednesday and voted to reinvite Tom Paulin. "Free speech was a
principle that needed upholding here," English professor Peter Sacks said
Wednesday night.

Voice of Judea Commentary:

Yet another wake up call for all American Jews. Tolerance of Nazi trash
disguised as intellectuals and poets in Harvard is another indication how
easy it is to spread dangerous Jew hatred on U.S. campuses.

3- LABOR AND LIKUD, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Poll: 73% of Palestinians say Labor worse, no different than Likud
Almost three quarters of Palestinians believe that a Labor-led government
would do no better in furthering the peace process than one led by the
Likud, according to a poll released Wednesday by the Palestinian Center
for Public Opinion.

Voice of Judea Commentary:

Once again, the Arabs are right. The only way to bring peace and security
to the Jewish State is by Israel behaving like a Jewish state and not a
state of timid Jews.

Both Likud and Labor will never have the courage or the wisdom to do what
really needs to be done.. They both believe that their salvation will come
from Washington.

1- JDL leader dies at 57

Jewish Defense League leader Irv Rubin died in a Los Angeles hospital
Wednesday at 57. He had been in a hospital-induced coma since Nov. 4, when
an assassination attempt was made on his life in jail. Rubin, who was
originally announced dead and later announced brain dead, was making a
miraculous recovery. Last week, officials said Rubin used a razor to
slash his own throat and then fell or jumped from a prison balcony as he
and other inmates lined up for breakfast.

Rubin's family and friends rejected the suicide theory and demanded a full
investigation into his mysterious death.

The incident occurred hours before he was scheduled to appear in court for
a hearing on his case. Rubin and an associate, Earl Krugel, faced charges
that they planned last year to blow up the King Fahd mosque near Los
Angeles and the office of Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), a descendant of
Lebanese immigrants.

Prosecutors would have had a very difficult time proving any case against
57-year-old Rubin, who had no earlier convictions. The case was based
solely around the testimony of a government informant who admitted
planting some bomb making equipment in Krugel's home only moments before
the FBI search. Nothing incriminating was found by or on Rubin.

Voice of Judea Commentary:

Where is the American Jewish Establishment? We all know they hated
Irv Rubin, however, here is a case where a Jew was probably murdered in
jail. At the very least they s
