We scoured the racks and talked to stylists, fashion experts and department
store buyers to find which jeans will fit and sell best this fall, both for
men and women. Among the recommendations: J Brand jeans, seen on celebrities
such as Angelina Jolie and Nicole Richie; beloved Paper Denim & Cloth; James
Jeans; and Seven, a brand that continues to lead in sales in both the men's
and women's premium denim category, according to NPD.
"These days, you're seeing a lot less detailing, especially on the back
pockets. For a long time, it was all about branding on the back pocket," says
Prabhakar. "Now the trends are back from the '80s. They're real plain and
simple."
Earnest Sewn's jeans fit the bill. They lack embellishments, labels on the
back and in-your-face wear and tear
