I am a student of English philology and I am going to write my Master paper
on "The Role Of Swear Words In Language". Therefore, I would be very grateful
to those who will be so kind as to give me some support in the are of "dirty

Nowhere in my post did I suggest that profanity is not an area of linguistics
deserving of serious study, so I have no idea why you assumed that this was
the reason I am so skeptical. That's not what "surprised" me. Quite the
opposite... As a self-proclaimed linguist, you should be aware that this area
of language has been studied thoroughly, which leaves the quoted MA thesis
title much too broad.

Oh, and before you call yourself a linguist, make sure you can express
yourself in English without having to switch to your native language halfway
through the paragraph.

Thanks for your response. As a matter of fact, I am a 4 year student at sme
University in Poland, and what is more I am a teacher at a junior high school.
Therefore I am surrounded with swear words of which I have a huge resource in
my head;)So, if you are a doubter as for my MA thesis, you do not need to
respond.

Your story didn't add up to me at first, and your second post didn't convince
me either. Here is why:

I simply don't believe that any university professor would approve a topic
like this. In light of the extensive attention this area of language has
already received, your topic as stated ("The Role Of Swear Words In Language")
is just very banal. For now, it sounds like its contents will resemble those
of an _introduction_ to a book about profanity
