Europe must be looked at not as an economic giant, but as a group of states
that have very different values and economic strength. France and Germany are
going downhill economically. France is quickly losing its identity and will
either end in civil war or become a backwater country torn by class and
religion. Germany is socializing its self to death, as Sweden already has
done. Spain has hope. GB is on the edge and can go either way.
A country strength is not measured by its armies but by its economy. When you
look at all the lilliputs clamoring in the UN for ways to dismantle our
wealth (Kyoto comes to mind), you have the true measure of the power of the
US. The poorest state in the US, Mississippi, has more opportunity and
disposable income than Sweden, another "worker's paradise".
