I came across a song by a band I hadn't heard in 10 years or so today, blew
my mind how good it was to hear again. The band were Power Of Dreams, a hotly
tipped to be huge Irish band, but they never quite did. A very typical early
90's sound, very similar in places to early Stone Roses with a different
producer than John Leckie and Ride with sweeter more distinguishable vocals!
The song I caught up with was called There I Go Again, I managed to find it
through SoulSeek go find it if you like the sound so far, well worth
it )
They came close, close but no cigar

Well, you said early Roses so I couldn't stay indifferent to that! Managed to
download that song and I like it! Never heard it before which is no surprise,
but this is a cool listening, energetic and fun. Didn't find anything else by
them, no pictures on the net either, oh well, i guess they really didn't make
it...

Jeśli chodzi o gg to daj znać, bo zwykle używam komunikatora, a tam chyba nie

that's a pain, as I reckon from what I know of your tastes it would be a charm
to your ear. Do you like the song you downloaded? I think their second album
had a wider sound, more of an expanse in the guitars, a total mix of Ride and
Mansun (had to say that ) to put some buzz in for you!)

I found the sound quality pretty bad on the live things I found. Positivity
seems to be one of their later albums, I downloaded it but haven't listened to
it yet. cool you like it )

after listening 10 or 15 album and live tracks I must say that I'm totally in
love!!! ) Yes, Ride guitars with Mainstream-ish vocals and that sweet misty

It took me 10 years nearly to hear that song again and for me the wait was well
rewarded, but to have shared it turns up the volume for me )

how have you been getting on with finding that To Hell With Common Sense album?
I've been listening to it
Still not really any wiser to any more knowledge on them though

amazing, unbelievable... What the hell have happened with them? I'm impressed
with how different music they created. Well, I'm IMPRESSED generally! I don't
understand why I never heard of them. Most of the tracks I have
from "Become Yourself" and "Positivity" albums.

Oh you have to find To Hell album ) which I guess you are searching on! I
only came by them by chance on a radio show, and funnily early this year a guy
I knew who has roadie'd for so many bands, big and small said of all live acts
he liked, Power Of Dreams really impressed him highly and was shame they never
made it! Have you heard the track Rain Down? ) woohoo!! The singer must still
be out there doing things even if the band have split up, need to hire a
private investigator!!

I found a bit more too yesterday and managed to find their album too, there was
plenty of sources for it on SoulSeek and it is very good, the first track on
their, Archive, album is 16 minutes long )
