Retail premises: Tesco opens another hypermarket, supermarkets to follow in
H2
On Wednesday, 28 April, the Polish subsidiary of the UK's leading retailer
Tesco opened its 39th hypermarket in Poland. The new 10,000 m2 outlet is the
largest store in Lublin so far and provides employment for over 400 people.
According to the bi-weekly Handel, the British retailer is to open four
hypermarkets in the second half of this year with sales areas of 3,100-5,400
m2 each (in Mielec, Kalisz, Opole and Glogow) and five Tesco supermarkets
(each 2,100 m2 in size; located in Myslowice, Lukow, Krapkowice, Bytom and
Kozienice).
