Two captured Palestinian suicide bombers – cause of high alert in central
Israel Wednesday – were officers of Palestinian General Security Service which
is under Arafat’s sole control. One had orders to blow up school at Yokneam
east of Haifa. The pair posed as Jihad Islami terrorists when captured in
Bardala mosque at northern end of Jordan Valley.

informuje, lecz prowadzi wojne.
wiadomo dlaczego, przeciez popieraja wojne). Wojsko ma na to rade - wiecej
wojny. Cywile chca wiec wiecej wojny.

Po jakims czasie oczywiście. Gdyby Izrael użył broni atomowej, to

Suicide bombers caught on their way to Yokneam school [IDF foils Palestinian
            Arab Suicide Terror]

Three days after Syrian President Bashar Assad called for renewed talks with
Israel, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, whose offices are in Damascus, sent two
suicide bombers to attack Israeli schoolchildren in Yokneam and more Israelis
in the northern city of Beit She'an.

A senior security official told Channel 1 TV news Wednesday night that Islamic
Jihad headquarters in Damascus issued the order to its Jenin cells to carry
out the attacks. The order was given in the past few days, the source said.

Acting on an intelligence tip off following major arrests throughout the West
Bank this past week, Israeli security forces, including elite army Special
Forces, the Shabak, Border Police, and the Israel Police special anti-
terrorism unit (Yamam) on Wednesday caught the bombers after a day long
manhunt, first in the Wadi Ara – Nahal Iron region, and afterwards in the
            northern Jordan Valley near Jenin.

In the morning, part of the Wadi Ara – Nahal Iron road was closed and
roadblocks were set up in the area.

Then after about an hour the level of alert was reduced followjng
            consultations amongst security forces.

A short while later however, apparently in response to receiving more precise
details, security measures intensified in the Beit She'an and Afula areas.

Roadblocks caused heavy traffic jams, and at 2 pm forces surrounded the mosque
in the village of Bardaleh, near Jenin. At the time, 20 people were in the
mosque. Following a siege, the one of them was to use to attack a school
located near the commercial center in Yokneam.

The terrorists, Munir Shkadeh Mohammed Rabiah, 23, from Gaza and Morad
Zeitoun, 20, from Jenin, are both member of the Palestinian national security
            forces.

A source in the Shin Bet told the Jerusalem Post that the two left Jenin in
the morning and set out for Bardaleh where they planned to cross into
Israel. "They told investigators that they had chosen the location as there is
no security fence preventing them from entering Israel," the source said.

The security fence has been built from Kfar Salem to Megiddo and has been
mostly completed from Megiddo to Malkishua on Mount Gilboa. But from that
point down to Bet She'an there is no fence and therefore the area is wide
            open.

As recently as Tuesday 50 Palestinians who had from this open area entered the
country illegally were rounded up. Also arrested were a number of people
            suspected of transporting them.

Dore Gold, an adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, said the goal of
the attackers was to carry out a suicide bombing in a school in the Israeli
town of Yokneam. He said it "demonstrates the necessity of Israel's ongoing
security measures including the completion of its security fence," a barrier
Israel is building which has drawn criticism because its route cuts deep into
the West Bank to encircle Israeli settlements.

Another suicide bomber also with the Islamic Jihad, was arrested by security
forces in a sweep of the Jenin area late Tuesday night. According to Shin Bet
source, the suspect planned to perpetrate a suicide bomb attack in Beit
            She'an.

The suspect was one of 17 Islamic Jihad members arrested by security forces
who raided the Jenin area late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
Security officials noted that in the Samaria area there are a number of
different cells affiliated with the Islamic Jihad and the Fatah Tanzim who
continue to plot attacks against Israelis.

On Wednesday the security establishment registered 42 warnings of plans by
            terrorists to perpetrate attacks

Security forces foil two suicide bombings
By Amos Harel, Haaretz Correspondent, Haaretz Service and Agencies

An attempt to carry out simultaneous suicide bombings in a Yokne'am school and
the city of Beit She'an are among several terror attacks foiled in the past
two days by Israeli security forces.

Early on Tuesday, elite Israel Defense Forces troops, working in cooperation
with the Shin Bet Security Service, nabbed a man in the West Bank city of
Jenin who intended to carry out a suicide bombing in Beit She'an, which is
            located in the Jordan Valley.

Following the arrest, security services on Tuesday launched operations in the
West Bank and arrested 17 Islamic Jihad activists, including a senior member
involved in dispatching the intended suicide bomber.

On Wednesday afternoon, security forces declared a state of high alert in the
north of the country, around Afula and the Beit She'an valley. Roadblocks were
set up in the area and police checked every vehicle passing through.

The effort culminated later Wednesday with the arrest of the would-be suicide
bomber, Munir Rabeia, 23, from the Gaza Strip, and his dispatcher, Murad Abu
Zeitoun, of the northern West Bank village of Zabuba, near Jenin.

The two were nabbed by an Elite police anti-terror unit in the village of
Bardale in the northern Jordan Valley.

The forces also located an explosives belt.

An initial investigation of the two revealed they were members of the
Palestinian National Security forces, in addition to being Islamic Jihad
activist. The two told investigators they were on their way to a school in
Yokne'am, east of the port city of Haifa.

The two also told investigators that they chose to infiltrate Israel from the
West Bank, via the northern Jordan Valley, because the separation fence has
yet to be constructed in this region.

"What may appear to some people to be a lull in Palestinian terror activity is
actually a smokescreen for the continued efforts by these same terrorists to
strike at innocent Israelis wherever and whenever they can," said David Baker,
an official in the Prime Minister's Office, in response to the thwarted
            attacks.

"The Israeli security forces continue to confront and foil terror attack after
terror which attests to the unbending resolve of the Palestinian terror
organizations to continue with their campaign of terror of which the
Palestinian Authority does nothing to stop."

In a separate event, IDF troops neutralized a 7-kilogram bomb on Wednesday
            near the Wes
