    the need for Switzerland to remain independent from the EU/EMU. He said if
    the nation joined the EU/EMU it would rob the country of its flexibility on
    its fiscal and monetary policy. Hildebrand added that Switzerland would be
    better served by not falling into the trap of 'help us from ourselves' line
    of reasoning, according to Reuters News.
