"Milena Gorzont is one of the young people enjoying the success of
Slough's Langleywood secondary school. The 15-year-old Pole is one
of many migrant pupils to have flocked to the school, an influx,
says head Paul McAteer, which has been a 'big factor' in
transforming its performance over four years. McAteer says: 'Foreign
children have improved our results, and one consequence is that
their numbers have now dropped - because the white British parents
who live close to the school want their children to come here
again.'"
