Kids this days.

11.07.06, 12:52
My son's having his friend sleeping over our place tonight, and I tell you
what. We've never cooked so many meals during the day before. Lunch, snack,
snack, snack, entree, dinner. And they'd already asked for an ice cream and
hot chocolate to arrive just before the bed time movie. Jesus, me and my poor
hubby feel like the room service.

More fool you for allowing it. Tell him where the microwave is and let him heat
      his own up.

hey, bluteau, I thought you disappeared from the face of the earth. Exams in
          July?

Nope, I'm done for now. Just getting some well-deserved rest wink

Our sleep over days are OVER, thank God. When the kids were relatively small,
it was room service with a smile. When they became teenagers, we never knew if
there was any food left in the house for the next day. Things that used to
disappear real fast were: chocolate milk, pepperonis, pop and any finger foods.
There would be NO junk food left anywhere in the house (unless you were to hide
it, which we did a few times).

      Ah, those days....

      smile

Well, call me old-fashioned, but surely that's a good thing?
Isn't it better to wake up in the morning to find all the junk food plundered,
than to find all the alcohol and drugs missing?

aaah, the drugs! You are so right, ianek! That would explain the dissapearnace
of the one and a half ounce of meth 10 years ago from our downstairs meth lab.
And I thought these guys were watching "Matilda", ha!

Brookie, don't get me wrong, but I think that in a few years your soon - if
still treated like that - will need the room service instead of a wife... I
hope not, I used drastic example smile
Amazing, but somehow girls are brought up rather in a different way. They have
duties from the earliest age... Hmmm, once again I come to belief that boys
have easier life and are treated better by parents!

Thanks for your concerns, esk. My son and his little girlfriend are 6, they both
quite independent kids and not too demanding. But they get hyped up easily when
get together. Next time we'll try not to loose control over them. Cheers
