Backward and awkward

I come from Yorkshire, an area of northern England renowned for being bloody-
minded and proud.
Others call people from Yorkshire dumb and opinionated.
So it should surprise you that I am so mild-mannered ...

I found an interesting ethnic study on the internet which essentially says
that Yorkshire is the least ethnically diverse in mainland Britain.

It also says the Basques are closely related to the Irish - that explains a
lot.

Any regional tensions of note in any countries you know? Poland or elsewhere?

Hmmmm...I am sure these are the ones that like to cloak themselves in
quasi-science while hiding under a bunch of unsupportable claims and irrational
conclusions.
