PAYMENTS FROM WESTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES(Excluding Germany and Austria)
1. Denmark
Former citizens of Denmark who suffer from a physical disability as a result
of persecution during the Nazi occupation of Denmark, or as a result of
incarceration in concentration camps, may be eligible to receive compensation
from the Danish government. The amount of compensation depends upon the
applicant's current level of disability resulting from the persecution.
The Netherlands
Former citizens and residents of the Netherlands and Dutch colonies who
suffer financial hardship due to physical disabilities resulting from
persecution during the Second World War may be eligible to receive
compensation from the Dutch government.
Norway
In 1999, the Norwegian government voted to establish a fund that will provide
450 million Norwegian crowns ($58 million) for Jewish victims of Nazi death
camps and their families, as well as for Jewish organizations.
Switzerland
The Swiss Fund for Needy Victims of the Holocaust/Shoa was established by
decree of the Federal Council of Switzerland on March 1, 1997, as a
humanitarian gesture to aid Holocaust victims in need.
