Przypomnialo mi sie, przy okazji, ze swego czasu that pathetic woman, hehehe,
oznajmila, iz Hillary wzielo sie z Sir Edmund Hillary - zdobywcy Mount Everest
w 1953. Zapomniala, bidula, ze urodzila sie 6 lat przed ta pamietna data...
"Hillary Clinton just can’t seem to get out of her own way.
Monday she attempted to shift the presidential debate to housing and the
mortgage crisis, but it was her account of a 1996 trip to Bosnia that was
coming back to haunt her.
Sen. Clinton wrote about the trip in her book, “Living History” and about the
landing at Tuzla Air Base:
“Due to reports of snipers in the hills around the airstrip, we were forced to
cut short an event on the tarmac with local children, though we did have time
to meet them and their teachers and to learn how hard they had worked during
the war to continue classes in any safe spot they could find.”
She should have stuck to that version of events.
However, this is how she described the trip during a speech last week.
“I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a
greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down
to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”
Comedian Sinbad, who was also on that 1996 trip, told the Washington Post he
had no memory of being in danger or being under gunfire. Film clips show
Clinton and her daughter Chelsea exiting a helicopter and accepting a poem
from a young girl on the tarmac. No one was running.
Silly? Yes, of course it is. Silly of Sen. Clinton to reinvent a moment she
had already recounted in her own memoir. Silly to think that somehow an
account of her arriving under fire would make her a better candidate or a more
experienced leader.
And the broader implication is that if she can’t tell the truth about the
little stuff, can she be trusted to tell the truth about the big stuff?"
Vote for McCain, don't be a bloody fool!
