French brand Escada (Cosmopolitan Cosmetics) is introducing Magnetism for
Men, the men’s counterpart to the women’s fragrance of the same name launched
in June 2003. Magnetism for Men is the first men’s fragrance launched by the
Wella-owned French fragrance house since Sentiment for Men launched in 2002.
Escada forecasts €1m in revenues from Magnetism for Men within its first
three months on the market in France. The Escada brand is expected to
generate €7m in French sales in 2004, with €4m attributable to the brand’s
seasonal fragrance, Island Kiss. This proportion should hold through other
markets, Cosmopolitan Cosmetics France marketing manager Marine Gaertner
tells Cosmeticnews.com.
The woody, spicy, amber fragrance, signed Michel Almairac of Robertet,
introduces notes of Schinus (a Brazilian pepper plant), saffron, tolu and
musk.
The dark mauve chisel-shaped glass bottle was designed by Nicosia Creative
Expresso Ltd.
The line, which will be available in 50ml and 100ml formats retailing for €39
and €59 respectively, will launch worldwide in October.

Escada jest wg tego źródła francuską marką. "Tolu" brzmi całkiem :-) - to
żywica z drzew rosnących w Ameryce Łacińskiej, drzewo musi być starsze niż 20
lat zanim można z niego pobrać "soczek", jedno produkuje 3 kg rocznie. Zapach
podobny do wanilii:-) Wbrew pozorom, nie jest to drogi olejek, podobno dość
popularnie uzywany w USA.
