Well, I don't know if Sienkiewicz was a Trotskyite but I certainly always
thought he was a feminist (in his days). So it really surprises me every time
that the nationalist, ultra-clerical, anti-feminist wing identifies with his
writings... Clearly they are not getting the whole message. ;o)

P.S.: The previous commenter thought the translation was heavy and unclear. In
that I identify with the poor translator who was given a fairly nuanced and
witty text about obscure, to the outsider, subject and was told to translate the
text for yesterday and then he realized who wrote it and that it was going to be
published on the internet where someone, inevitably, would put his translation
next to the original and ...deconstruct it. Hang in there and don't worry!
English language is patient and I am glad you've done the translation! :o) I've
read worse in the best US magazines, coming from under the best American pens...
