A “soldier,” to me, is someone else’s son, someone’s child. I feel a need to scream to God, asking why He left us, why He took His mercy from the earth, leaving us alone with our evil nature. How can we kill in the name of God when Jews, Christians, and Muslims all believe in the same God?

The land is crying, rivers of blood flood the earth. A child is crying, looking at his mother with so much fear in his eyes, asking her to take his fear away, but she is a frightened child herself. We are all children, children of God. We kill His own children in His name.
In a war… any war… no one wins.
