This retreat is designed for meditation practioners who wish to integrate
meditation
and daily life through engagement in social action and for those already
engaged in
social action who would like to give their action a foundation in meditation
and the
three tenets of the Zen Peacemaker Order: not knowing, bearing witness and
loving
action.
The focus of the retreat will be the study and exploration of the mandala of
the Five Buddha
Families (Buddha, Karma, Padma, Ratna and Vajra) and their corresponding
energies and
spheres of activity (meditation, social action, study, resources and
integration). Each day will
be devoted to one of the activities and its integration into daily life.
