ever dream of being so if there had been transfers of technology, they would
have gone FROM China TO US, not the other way around. Americans have nothing in
the area of inventions and science to impress the world - they are the suckers
that steal everyone else's achievements and implement them simply because they
have cash.

Mainly from stealing (ie invading other countries and stealing their resources
to sell them as their own) Also from printing promisory notes (ie money)
without being able to pay if called to pay. America is very prolific in
producing cash and convincing the world that cash has its own integral value,
which we all know is a load of bollocks.
Once you have too much cash, you need to employ it so that you can keep on
covering up the actual deficit.

Chinese have a lot to admire. But not the creativity and the inventions. Let me
say, how I see their development. Namely, as a strong pushing of the european
and american societies to open the production sites in China.

The sites which are so much cheaper than the native ones. Consequently, the
production is being overtaken by them and from the american or europeans. And
we buy more and more chinese products.

It had happed one time already, some 30 or 40 ears ago. When Japan stared to be
a developed country.

The BIG difference is that China is ten time greater. And much smarter.

But still not smarter than us and not creativer. They are just cheaper and
intelligent.

CHinese represent the earlierst achievements of civilisation with the exception
that contrary to all the other early civilisaions, the Chinese have survived
and ensure continual existence.
Secondly, they are very inventive: gun powder and few other inventions of
theirs have in fact been 'discovered' by the Europeans and imported to Europe
(not invented by us)
At the moment the Chinese have a problem not with capacity but with the fact
that there are no CHINESE brands out there. MOst of the stuff is produced in
CHina but by foreign manufacturers. CHina needs to build up its own brands with
the money flowing into CHina not out of it. Once this is done, there is no
stopping them, im afraid.

Nice to see you're still alive and still in France. I'm just over the ditch so
I shall visit you soon for some nice French wine

I have some emapathy with the CHinese but I have much more empathy with the
future of my doughter. Who will be working and living in France. And I wish
that her life, if possible, would be possibly better and easier than mine.

What makes me think like this?

My own experience, darling. Namely, as long as I was fighting for myself I was
able to make progressing the things. When, I let the others figth for me, the
things regressed.

You have to control the situation as far as you can. And you have not to
believe that the others will do it for you.

But I am sure, you know it as good as I do. You are just provoking me a bit.
Surely, because of "Rainbow Warrior".

consequent. It is as good as being patient or even better. And I wish, that

Chiny budują komputer z własnym procesorem i Linuksem na pokładzie
Linux

Państwo Środka nie zamierza być uzależnione od zachodnich dostawców sprzętu komputerowego - właśnie testuje komputery z procesorami własnej produkcji i pracujące pod Linuksem. Dla dwóch firm - Intela i Microsoftu, które od dawna sobie ostrzą zęby na chiński rynek jest to pewnie niezbyt miła wiadomość.

Chiński komputer ma być tani - jego cena ma oscylować w granicy 200 USD, tak więc jego parametry techniczne nie powalą na kolana. 40-gigabajtowy dysk twardy i 256 MB pamięci RAM to niewiele, jakkolwiek będzie wyprodukowany w Chinach, tani i dostępny dla szerokiej rzeszy chińskiej ludności.

Procesor, który będzie to napędzał - Godson II E, został zaprojektowany i stworzony przez Instytut Technologii Informatycznych przynalżny do Chińskiej Akademii Nauk. Chiny rozpoczęły pracę nad swoim procesorem w 2001 roku i ich pierwsze dzieło - Godson I, wyszedł na świat we wrześniu 2002 roku. Od tamtej pory zostały wyprodukowane trzy genreacje tych procesorów - Godson II B, Godson II C i Godson II E. Procesor zawiera w sobie 47 milionów tranzystorów (więcej niż Pentium IV), zegar 1 GHz, zaś pobór mocy wynosi jedynie 3-8 watów.

Istotną informacją jest fakt, że procesory Godson II E nie obsługują instrukcji x86 - chiński czip używa zmodyfikowanej wersji zestawu instrukcji MIPS. To z kolei oznacza, że komputery wyposażone w te procesory nie będą mogły pracować pod kontrolą Windowsa, a prawie wyłącznie pod Linuksem.

Dystrybucja, która ma to obsługiwać to oczywiście chiński Red Hat, czyli Red Flag Linux.

wczesnych lat 90-tych i nigdy nie zdobyła takiego miejsca jak Intel czy AMD
nietrudno zgadnąć, że nie ma do tego programów pracujących w Windows. Rzecz
jasna Windows chodzi na MIPS trzeda jedyni zciągnąć emulator. Windows CE było
napisane do MIPS ale gdzies po drodze sie wykoleiło.
Nie ma takiej rzeczy, której Intel nie zechciałby udupiś i do której Microsoft
nie zrobiłby systemu operacyjnego ze wstążką i kokardką.

Microsoft w dużej informatyce to zero. Ta firma ma geniuszy
nie od programowania, ale od marketingu. I o marketning tu idzie.
