Proszę o pomoc, zaczynam dopiero naukę j.ang i mam wątpliwości z uzyciem w/w
określenia w następującym zdaniu : how much (bądź how many) vacation do you
have this year. proszę o wskazówkę. Sorki - że z taką błachostką....pozdr.

Dzięki za odp.Tylko, że ja nie mogę zmieniać konstrukcji w zdaniu. W tekście
mam - vacation - i muszę dopasować - albo how much albo many. Na mój gust - ma
być how much (od czasu niepoliczalnego), ale pewna nie jestem.

Hi,

Only understand a little of this, but maybe enough to help.

1. Vacation is more used in 'American English'and holidays is more used in
British English. 'Leave' is also used. although can be used.
2. If you are wanting to know how many days in total, it would be normal to say
either 'how many days vacation / holiday / leave do you have (in the period), or
how much vacation / holiday / leave entitlement have you (in the period).
3. If wanting to know how long a person is taking for a particular vacation /
holiday, it would be normal to say either 'for how long are you going on
vacation / holiday', or 'how many days vacation / holiday are you taking'.

I've not included the question marks.
