Hi,

I'd like to ask for somebody's opinion about the level
of english courses at the British Council in Warsaw.
I've heard they make very good courses but maybe
someone could say more subjectively about this. Are
they effective? Are they worth the money ???

Hello Ala. about the level in The British Council...Well, it's rather ok.
Teachers are really good, I can tell something about it because I'm learning
there 4th semester. They are really preparing you for thhose exams that you
have to write. But there are also few problems: It's not very chaep and you
      have to study.

Well, here is your answer. It seems from the text above they are not worth the money. But the worst thing is that you have to study there. :)

But I want to study and I want to learn quickly. I am
afraid of wasting my time at a course that will teach me
nothing. Do you know any company that organizes English
courses that are comparable to those of BC but are less
expensive? Archibald maybe? I have been to Lingwista some
years ago and it was a total mistake so I am very careful
          now.

      Hi...
The best way to learn other language is the conversation...
It doesn't matter with whom you are speakin' (the most important is that it
      should be EnglishMan:)
You should find someone that is English speakable, and speak, speak, speak....
And u don't have to go to any Council...

By the way... Does someone knows where can I learn Japanese?

You get what you pay for. A large proportion of the money you pay goes to the
teacher as salary/wages in any school. If you pay very little that means you
get a teacher who can only command a very poor salary because no-one else will
employ him. If you pay more you get better teachers - better qualified and with
greater experience. Of course this doesn't apply to foundation/charity based
schools whose teachers may not be here to make money but for a mission of some
          kind.
I've always told people that the more you pay the better % chance of getting a
          good teacher.
You get what you pay for.
