W sensie transitive, czasownik (eg. "'explain' the difference") 'posiada' niejako przedmiot bezposrednio. in polish, what's the difference and how to > recognize these types of the verbs????? The one containing direct object is transitive; the other (req. 'to') - intransitive! 'monotransitive'? - never heard! Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś
calcis Re: transitive, intransitive, monotransitive? 09.06.03, 21:01 no coz, jest kilka rodzajow czasownikow - a raczej "patterns of comlementation":) - intransitive, monotransitive, complex transitive, multi transitive oraz copulative... nie wiem, czy dokladnie pamietam, ale zdaje sie: - intransitive - takie ktore nie potrzebuja zadnego dopelnienia (object), np. He sleeps. - monotransitive - te z jednym dopelnieniem, np. He robbed a bank. (a bank -> direct object - dopelnienie blizsze), ale tez np. I knew he was ill. ("he was ill" -> clausal direct object) - ditransitive - z dwoma objects, np. She gave him the money. (gdzie him -> indirect object, the money -> direct object) - complex transitive - z direct object i czyms, co "uzupelnia" ten object, no. Everyone considered him a fool. (gdzie him -> direct object, a fool -> objective complement) hmmm, mam nadzieje, ze nie zamieszalam bardziej, niz bylo potrzeba? ;)))))) Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś
