President as Party Leader?

15.06.09, 08:29
Tusk or no Tusk there is another question, much more important.
Yes, our president is right saying, “Poland has no foreign
politics”. And who will really talk with country “without foreign
politics”? Americans have the president but no prime minister.
Britons have prime minister but no president (yes, I know, there is
the queen, but she is not government). Or we could take the German
model: only prime minister (chancellor) is responsible for the
government and the president has only one optional right: veto, but
nothing to say by operative government actions.

And in Poland? We have them both: the prime minister and the
president. My proposal: we should have only one centre of the
operative political power and not two.
