Kilka opinii z forum:
"I'd like to thank you for bringing the subject of Polish airmen to the broad
audience again. Poles are often mistreated due to the fact that our history
is often portrayed falisified. I hope that your book will help to show the
readers the true image of Poland and its citizens, unaltered by hostile
propaganda or ethnic hate. This is especially important to me as I was
interested in aviation since childhood. Right now I'm leading a project for
adding Polish aspect to a popular flight simulation game on PC computers. I
have even rallied Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków to this cause."
"Dear Lynn and Stanley
I just finish reading your book and I like very much to thank you for it.
It is beautifully written and very emotional indeed.
I did think about what you said during that evening in New York, why no
Polish author was "allowed" to published this story in US...
And now after reading your book I have to agree with Americans who could not
believe the story of Polish pilots.
I can't hardly believe it myself.
Thank you for bringing it up in this country.
Sincerely your
Tomasz Magierski"
"Dear Lynn and Stanley,
Great book! Fantastically written. Despite the fact that I knew most of the
stories and facts for years, it did not stop my neckhair to go up... several
times, while reading. You guys really mastered the art of writing.
Sad what happenned to my contry, it's sad where it is now after being thrown
into Soviet 'Mordor' for fivty years.
Finally I have a piece in English I can show to my foreign friends and
business partners every time they tell me I am whinning again about Poland in
WWII. I have already bought 4 copies... :-)
Best regards,
Piotr

"Thank you for this fantastic book. I am truly amazed with the amount and
quality of research performed by the authors.
In my opinion the most important value of this work is its historical
accuracy. In recent years we have witnessed on many occasions how the
history - including quite recent - is being rewritten.
Few years back, Canadian national tv CBC produced miniseries titled "Valour
and Honour", where CO of the Bomber Command Air Marshal Harris and Bomber
Command pilots in general where described as cold blood murderers (short of
the war criminals). There was no mention of what the Luftwaffe did to Warsaw,
Rotterdam or Coventry.
This production outraged veterans of the RCAF who witnessed thousands of
their friends killed in action. CBC refused any apology.
In recent miniseries "Holocaust", Jews of the Warsaw ghetto are escorted to
death trains by the Polish Military Police wearing
four cornered hats "rogatywka" with national coat of arms - not clear if this
is a case of complete ignorance or else (n.b. little known fact, Jewish
fighters flew Polish flag over the Ghetto, giving their Christian compatriots
first chance in over three years of German occupation, to see the national
colours).
Also in Germany visible trend to show Germans as the victims of WW II. Quite
interesting is vocabulary used in the recently published books: fire storms
created by waves of the allied bombers turn bomb shelters into the "gas
chambers", US Bomber Groups are called "Einsatzgruppen" like the criminal
units of German SS.
I realize that this book is very different than probably most famous book
written by an American about Poland - J.Kelly's "Trumpeter of Cracow" yet
while reading it I felt that it has been written by someone who just like
J.Kelly deeply cared about my country and for that THANK YOU !!! "
"I wish you did not waste your time writting a book about Poland. We Poles
know the facts, Americans care more about Puerto Rico, most of Europe
dislikes us. Integrity, honor and liberty are nowdays not that fashionable
and for these reasons you will not make any money on your latest
irresponsible venture into history. I have learned my lesson after being
laughed at by immigrtion judge just before he refused my application for
political asylum. Who cares you were one of the ten people that organized
strike at University of Warsaw in 1988? Who cares you were receiving phone
calls with threats and you chose "couse over career"? So where did you learn
to speak english ? Oh, you do have universities?!
And all that fuss in american media about the fall of berlin wall - kodak
moment I guess. Haven't we polaks made it perfectly safe for smart germans to
use the gates ? why did they keep breaking the concrete - the real wall has
laid in ruins already. But berlin wall was perfect - had nothing to do with
trade unions or christianity. Shipyrd in Gdansk and Solidarity - so
complicated, so inspired but...troublesome. We do not fit. Hope never will.
But it is happenning again, over and over, we are being robbed of our
revolution of 1980-1989. The same immigration judge gave political asylum to
ortodox-catholic Ukrainian suddenly turned Jew who claimed that antysemite
poles used to beat him while he was studing at the university of lvov and
later cracow. All lies and I am still trying to figure out why I did not fire
him from my company after learning that. Probably because I am Polish. Stupid
one. Can take a lot of abuse and laugh all the way to the bank seraching to
buy isolated island in french polinesia. Perfect place to watch the battle of
armagedon hoping it starts with british banks and american media. Please -
your next book dedicate to victims of .....holocoust for example. This
subject needs more exploration and you will make decent profit but do not
mention jewish militia or jewish guards, let's keep the picture of humanity
simple, acceptable to midle class mind - sells well.
By the way-I admire you for sensless bravery, spending your time on a lost
cause and not gaining anything. Very polish. I would have never read this
book if it hadn't been written so well.
