As I have written it previously, That big battaly between Rusians and Germans
took place near Lodz in 1914 during WWI. Germans call that battaly - the
Battaly of Brzeziny, Russians call that battaly - the Battaly of Lodz.
Germans won that Battaly, but high level of casualties occured on the both
sides. So the graveyeards of soldiers (both sides) are to be find around the
Lodz Town. One of the cmentary (graveyard) is placed in the Village Galkow
(Gałków using Polish fonts I am not sure if You are able to read polskije
bukfy). Soldiers in Graves came from Chrabovsk on the China border on river
Amur. Their unit has been organised there. Gazeta Wyborcza have undertaken
an action of searching the keens of the soldiers in graves. So the Major of
the Chabarovsk Aleksander Sokolov has been asked to help Gazeta Wyborcza on
serachong action. Some anoucement has been published by Chabarovsk Cityhall.
Mishuk As far I remember Chabarovsk is Your Home Town so my post is dedicated
for You. Did some of Your keens (Grandgrandfhater e.g.) fight on the battaly
of Lodz. I have to told You I am called Rusophob on the another foras, but I
am glad on the action connected in my home town. And My Grandmother and His
sister (both died on the last decade) told me about her good memories of the
Russian Officers View in the 1914 (They were kid) The Officers lived
temporary on my Grandgrandfhater house (He was rich merchant). Of course the
memories of my Grandfhater - the housband of my Grandmother were completly
diffrent, but He told me about the year 1920, but not 1914. He was young
soldier who took part in the battaly of Warsaw 1920, He was 17 when Jozef
Pilsudski ask all Polsih to defend Their new country. But I think there were
big diference bettwen Tzar Officers and Bolshevik Officer.
