Important question

25.07.06, 10:24
I have a friend who lives in England.
He is a permanent resident but not a citizen (he comes from Africa)
The question is: can he legally get a driving licence in Poland ?

If he is not a EU citizen, he will have to do all the exams to get a licence here.
EU citizens can or exchange their national licence for a Polish one or - since
recently - keep using their national licence.
(I am using by belgian one, because it is one without "points")

If you're asking whether foreigners can sit their driving test in Poland, then
yes of course they can, if they've got money and can speak Polish. The
procedure is different than for Polish nationals, but I'm not going to tell you
      how.
Your only contributions to this forum have been a lot of very boring childish
insults and some failed attempts to offend people, and now you're asking for
      advice?

If he holds a UK driving licence, which is an EU standard document, then that
is sufficient for Poland. Human skills, and not passports, drive cars in the EU.

He does not have a british DL.
As for ianek, you know what I think about you.
You are not helping me you don't want to help a fellow from Africa and you
called me a racist a while ago. It's hard to imagine for you that I can have a
        black friend, isn't it.

It's hard to imagine that you've got any friends.

Otherwise this forum will sink to new, yet uncharted, depths.

I notice that this guy has mainly been abrasive with Ian, and has not attacked
ladies that much in the way Waldek did. They may, of course, be the same
person, but in any event there hasn't been any systematic attacking of you.

My feeling is that Ian is a tough guy, and has no more problem brushing off
Marimax than a horse has flicking its tail at a fly. It may even give him a bit
of a light relief during his working day, for all I know.

If Ian feels that he would like a referendum, then we can have one. It will
just be a snap referendum bidding over an initial three week suspension.

In other news, the six month ban on Waldek comes to an end in the third week of
August. I mean to give him a fair chance to rehabilitate himself, if indeed he
            even wishes to.

And I am also planning to kickstart this group with a bunch of new ideas and
new threads at the beginning of September. There is no point in doing them now
as so many of us are on holiday, but I'm going to rally the troops in
September, and we'll have a big membership drive with all the new incoming
foreigners - many expats especially start at that time of year so as not to
            interrupt school years.

I'll be away from Poland in the UK on a marmite buying and fish and chip eating
adventure with my wife and our oldest kid from this coming Thursday to after
            the Tuesday Assumption holiday.

I've been letting things run on the back-burner here and I've been doing some
things instead on YouTube ( www.imtelling.eu links straight to my stuff
there) and of late on the new Polish Protestants' Forum
www.zawi.webd.pl/forum/ but in the meantime I've been setting aside some
ideas for a re-start when we are all back from holidays in September. If you
look at the earliest posts, you'll see that's when things started really taking
off here last year also. All summer long there were just a few of us chatting.

              Me, neglected? Neversmile

But, since we're on the subject of the 'who's who and why' I wouldn't mind
              knowing why marcus_anglikiem was banned
              without a referendum?

                He is not banned.

I simply don't accept attacks on the Jewish people in this forum, and I never
                have done.

There is no change in policy there.

              There's no point.
Marimax would like to be offensive, but he isn't intelligent or articulate
enough. Instead of opinions he has a long list of people and things he claims
to hate, and instead of logic or arguments he has a short and comical list of
childish insults which he repeats ad nauseum - "pinko", "jerk" and "faggot". He
knows nothing about life in Poland and only has a very superficial knowledge of
              other countries.
If he occasionally wrote posts more than two lines long or personalised his
abuse to fit the topic or the person he's trying to offend, or even memorised
some more interesting stereotypes than the puerile ones he's relied on so far,
then he might be slightly less of a sad joke.
But as it is, he's infantile, extremely boring but fairly harmless.

Yes I know nothing about life in Poland and have a very superficial knowledge
of other countries, so I guess I live on Mars or the Moon.
You see ianek how stupid you are.
I know you pinkos would like to ban me from this forum.
This is your way to control the world. You must follow your way of thinking or
                you are out.
I tell you one think: Iwill write what I want and when I want.
You will never control me and if you ban me I will write under a different nick
from a library, internet cafe or wherever I find a computer
