Mobile phones can kill

I knew this poor lady - a leading light at the British-Polish Chamber of
Commerce - she died a few days ago. The link above talks about the danger of
getting brain cancer.

If you chew them thoroughly you should be ok.

Apparently, in Japan all new mobile phones are fitted with chemical sensors
that react with digestive enzymes and are thus automatically de-activated once
swallowed, which means the risk of developing stomach cancer from a mobile's
signals is more or less zero.
Unless you're a whale, of course, since their stomachs are lined with 2 feet of
blubber which critically delays the enzymatic reaction to swallified telephony.
This would seem to prove that Japanese scientists are in the pocket of the
          whaling lobby.

if that was made up, it's genius ;0 you should write... perhaps Private Eye?

any medicine has advantages and disatvantages; so this a price we pay in
Science development. scientists try to find the solutions fro that, and so on.

He's too good for Private Eye, that's why he writes here!

Everything can kill if you use it in excess. I hardly understand people who are
unable to get about without their mobile phone.

Mobiles are something that we have come to take for granted so much we can
hardly believe that there was a time we didn't have them. But I think I got my
first one as late as only ten years ago. It was like carrying a brick around in
        my pocket.

Here's a prediction: Using robotics and animatronics technology, the phones of
the future will look like pets. People will have a scorpion, terrapin or
hamster, moving slightly in a lifelike way, on their desks, and when they ring
they will pick them up and talk into them.

I got my first one 4 years ago, the teleport function was very basic.

Have you been watching the Flintstones?

Essentially, you don't expect to get brain cancer from electronic gadgets.
I just wanted as many people as possible to know - so they don't go through the
agony this poor lady did before she found the grave at the age of 51, leaving
behind her 4 kids and a widower.

There is plenty of reason for concern about cell phones causing brain cancer.
Almost like plunking your head right into the microwave oven for an hour every
day -much longer for a business person.

Canda and US have been on the cell phone alert for as long as I can remember.
The thing that really worries me about that is the way teenagers use cell
              phones...practically 24/7.

and how do you feel about cell phones after reading this:

No, I always had a low tolerance level for Hanna Barbera. But trust someone
else to have though of the idea before me...

That sounds quite scary... Should we expect an epidemic soon?
