wearing berets, intercepted in Jerusalem a convoy of three cars; the third
one contained
Count Folke Bernadotte of Sweden, the UN Mediator in Palestine. The
assassins, under
the orders of Yitshak Shamir, Stern Gang leader, killed the Mediator and his
Aide de
Camp, Colonel Andre Serot of France.
