FORT LEWIS, Wash. - An Army officer is recommending that a lieutenant who
refused to serve in Iraq because he believes the war is illegal face trial, a
Fort Lewis spokesman said.

1st Lt. Ehren Watada, 28, of Honolulu, has been charged with missing troop
movement, conduct unbecoming an officer and contempt toward officials. He
refused to deploy to Iraq on June 22 with his Fort Lewis-based unit.

A report by the investigating officer, Lt. Col. Mark Keith, “does recommend
that the case be tried by general court-martial,” J.C. Mathews, a civilian
spokesman at the Army base south of Seattle, said late Thursday.

Ten porucznik i tak slabo zaprotestowal. Ja znam powazniejszy przypadek
protestu przeciw wyjazdowi do Iraku. :(((

      news.scotsman.com/uk.cfm?id=1254582006
"A TEENAGE soldier may have killed himself because he was worried he might have
to shoot child suicide bombers in Iraq.

Jason Chelsea told his parents that, during pre-deployment training, he had
been told he might have to shoot suicide bombers as young as two."

a więc można być człowiekiem i mieć sumienie. Godnośc nie jest zafdarmo .
        Należy ją wypracować.

Hitlerowcy tez się tłumaczyli że wukonywali tylko rozkazy. A tka naprawde to
nie ma takiej siły żeby uzbrojony zołniez nie mógł się obrucic i strzelać do
rozkazujacego mu dowódcy. Czy to byłby max protestu ?
