Essay on Reality Shows

Well,

How about creating an essay about reality shows together? I think there are a
variety of aspects that deserve our attention. Let me throw out some ideas -
it's like some kind of brainstorming, you can add your ideas and then we can
struture the material so that a real essay eventually emerges.
First of all, I see a contradiction in the term 'Reality Show' - it reflects
the situation most nations in industrialized countries are facing: A large
portion of the population is being entertained 24 hours through the TV and they
gradually loose touch with reality so they start searching for something to
fill that void: a show that creates the sense of reality. Now, what are the
reasons for this development? Steady increase of productivity resulting in
growing unemployment. If an educated adult doesn't have a regular job something
happens to their psychology that damages their character and changes their
personality.

OK, I could ramble on - just some more keywords:
- change management
- habits
- self-discipline
- learning vs. teaching
- consuming information vs. producing information
- speed vs. power
