Z serialu "Yes, Minister".
W przededniu pogrzebu byłego premiera Wielkiej Brytanii, do brytyjskiego
sekretarza stanu podchodzi Arab i mówi:
- I've just seen this order of service for tomorrow. It is deeply embarassing.
This here.
- "On Jordan's bank the Baptist's cry"... Why?
- Don't you know that Jordan Bank went bust yesterday?

Jak to przetłumaczyć na polski? (Zakładając, że jakoś trzeba.)

I am not familiar with that show but I think it's a play on words:
"On Jordan's bank the Baptist's cry" is a religious hymn written by Charles
Coffin in the 17th century. It sounds like this hymn was to be sung at this
guy's funeral. The Arab, though, was thinking that this was about the Jordan
National Bank that went bankrupt the day before and he found that very
      embarrasing.

        Let's skip the obvious.
The point is how to translate this directly untranslatable joke into Polish?

I want to write down subtitles for this episode for my friends. What shall I put
down at the mentioned moment? Translate directly and pretend the burst of
laughter occurring just after the pun is coincidential? What's the standard way
        of handling such things?
