a jest jakas ogolna zasada kiedy uzywamy infinitiv + gerund a kiedy infinitiv +
        to + infinitiv?

There is no general rule; there is a profusion of words after which you write
gerund, and twice as much when it comes to infinitives, the only rule is to lean
          it by heart.

try + inf. or try +gerund: pretty well the same thing, I think.

      however:

remember + gerund ("ing" form) refers back to the past.
ex. I still remember buying my first car.

on the other hand, remember + to inf.refers forward in time.
ex. Rememeber to pick up a gallon of milk on your way back.

      :)
