You gave the King James version of Malachi 3 verse 2.

In my view, the closest thing in Polish to the King James Bible is the Gdansk
Bible - from the same period in the Protestant Reformation and also basing on
the Textus Receptus.

The Gdansk Bible (I just borrowed my wife's) says at Proroctwo Malachyjaszowe
3v2:

"Lecz któż będzie mógł znieść dzień przyjścia jego? I kto sie ostoi, gdy się on
okaże? Bo on jest jako ogień roztapiający, i jako mydło blecharzów."

This has, incidentally, been used as a proof text by catholics for the doctrine
of purgatory, but I feel that it is reading too much into it. I'd be interested
in learning the context of your need to translate this verse.
