Here's a funny letter and answer from an agony column.

Dear Evelyn,
My son keeps doing things with his clothes and hair.Just to attract attention.
Two weeks ago he bought some expensive dye and dyed his hair red and
green.Then last week he suddenly cut it all off, except for a line down the
middle,like a Mohican.Then he said, "Just kidding!" and shaved it all off
like a skinhead.I don't know where I am with him.We just don't speak the same
language anymore.

Dear Reader,
What difference does it make if his hair is red or green? Are you telling me
that you've never changed your hairstyle or dyed your hair black or brown or
some other absurd colour? And how many times have you gone into Marks&
Spencer and put on one dress after another, because you couldn't decide what
style to choose? And all the time your little son was waiting for you in the
shop, and didn't know which Mummy was his, because there were so many of
them? How do you think he felt then?If I werw in your shoes, I'd put myself
in his shoes.
