"keeping pets in a large city - a pleasure or a nuisance?"

Nowadays, a lot of people keep pets in large city. Is it pleasure or nuisance
to do that? In my essay I will try to show different point of views about
this phenomenon.

It is obvious, that pets make our time enjoyable. We can go for a walk, play
and relax with them. They are like live toys. What is more, in big cities
people are busy and they do not have time for anything even for strike up a
friendship. For that reason, pets often are the only faithful and true
friends. In addition, towns with small animals are more lively, happy,
colorful and enjoyable.

On the other hand, keeping pets in a large city can also be a nuisance. First
of all pets make different noises. It can be disturbing especially if you
live in block of flats. Secondly, pets make much dirt and stink and some
owners do not clear up poos, what only makes that cities look awful.
Furthermore, pets can transmit diseases and can be dangerous because we
cannot foresee their behaviour.

In conclusion, it seems that keeping pets in a large town is a pleasure as
well as a nuisance. It has as many disadvantages as positive aspects. The
decision of whether to keep pets in a town or not remains a matter of
personal choice.

Pets are messy and sometimes smell. Some owners do not clean after them.

This is somewhat one sided. Pets make good friends but we have clean after
them. This is the human side of the question. Write something from the animal
perspective. Is it ok to leave a dog locked up the whole day?

Not the main reason. Dogs bark but most other pets are quiet, say the cuddly
chinchilla. Furthermore there are methods to quiet barking dogs ranging from
vocal cord surgery to electronic collars. In any case I would not make it the
main problem.
